Several area Caddo Parish schools are making big improvements when it comes to test scores and state educational leaders want  to know  what they are doing and how.

BESE Board President Chas Roemer told KTBS 3 News that they are looking to see if what is being done at these schools could be duplicated at other schools around the state.

Board members visited 4 Caddo Parish schools, Caddo Parish Middle Magnet, Northside Elementary, Cherokee Park and Southwood High School. Each of the schools saw double digits gains on state test scores.

This was the beginning of a state wide tour. Tomorrow Roemer and other members will visit 4 Bossier Parish schools that also saw huge leaps in student performance.
