Shreveport, La. -

Oil giant BP is expected to admit criminal misconduct in connection with the 2010 Deepwater Horizon spill in the Gulf.
Several news agencies are reporting that BP and the justice department have cut a deal and details could be announced today.
The company will reportedly acknowledge some type of criminal behavior and is expected to pay a record fine in exchange for a waiver of future prosecution on the charges.
BP will only confirm that it's in "advanced discussions", and no agreement has been reached.
