They weren't wearing furs -- or much of anything else, either.

Two scantily clad PETA activists demonstrated outside the Caddo Parish Courthouse in downtown Shreveport during the noon hour Wednesday. They were there to protest the use of animal furs and leather.

The female protesters were wearing panties and pasties so there was no violation of local nudity laws. They also had a strategically placed sign that said, "Bare skin, don't wear skin."

Tracy Reiman, executive vice president of People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, said "designers who still use animal skins are stuck in the Dark Ages."

Police officers were on hand to monitor the protest, which ended without incident.
