Barnwell Center gets ready to close

The Barnwell Center kicked off it's last art exhibit for the near future on Sunday. A wide variety of local artists are participating in the show, and their art is for sale. The center will close at the end of the year to construct improvements with its heating and air system, as well as making the building more handicap accessible.

"Unfortunately, since it's such a massive undertaking with the heat and air, we're going to have to close the building for basically a year, I expect," local artist Judy Horne said.

The exhibit will be open to public until December 26th.
