Baton Rouge, La. -

A woman from Baton Rouge is missing, in Canada.  Sarah Powell was last seen nearly two weeks ago aboard a cruise ship.  News Two's Brittany Weiss gets answers on why it's critical to find her.

Halifax Police aren't sure where or when Powell disembarked, and are worried she may not have her medicine.

71- year old Sarah Tessier Powell, is lost in Nova Scotia.  She was traveling alone aboard a Holland America cruise ship, when the crew noticed her missing.

Cruise security experts say it's rare a person would slip by unnoticed at a port.

Pierre states, "we're worried for Miss Powell because she needs medication, she may become disoriented or agitated."

While Holland America does not believe Powell jumped over-board, they have taken all precautions necessary.  Alerting the coast guard and FBI.  Pierre Bourdages reports being quite confident at this time that she walked off the ship and is somewhere in the area.

Powell, once secretary at Highland Elementary School, kept to herself.

Kellie Spring used to live across the street from Powell, and remembers the first time they met.  She said Ms. Powell welcomed her to the neighborhood and told her she wasn't a very social person.  But, you know, just welcome to the neighborhood.

Kelli Spring Former Neighbor welcomed me to the neighborhood, she told me she wasn't a very social person. But, you know, just welcome to the neighborhood. Very sweet, quiet, to herself.

Neighbors say this isn't the first time she has gone missing and can't imagine her traveling by herself.  Kelli Spring says the last thing we really talked about was her paranoia.

Police are checking her bank accounts and credit card usage to try and track her down.
