The Bossier-Shreveport Battle Wings will host their annual Fly Girl Dance Team tryouts on Nov. 17 at 10 a.m. at Buffalo Wild Wings in the Louisiana Boardwalk.

Additionally, a pre-tryout clinic will be held Nov. 13-Nov. 15 from 7-9 p.m. nightly at Power & Grace Dance Studio, located at 425 Ashley Ridge, Suite 120 in Shreveport. Participants are invited to attend the clinic any night or all three nights to learn the routine.

"The Fly Girls have become a huge part of our organization," Wings general manager Butch Bellah said. "These ladies make appearances at schools, hospitals and more throughout the Ark-La-Tex in addition to performing in front of all those Battle Wings' fans at the CenturyTel Center during our games."

Contestants are required to provide a head shot and bio and pay a $20 registration fee (cash only) and must be 18 years or older by April 1, 2008.

"We're excited about having the finals at Buffalo Wild Wings," Bellah added. "We've got five professional judges with years of experience in dance that will select our squad for 2008. We're inviting everyone out to the finals on the 17th for great food, the Fly Girls Tryouts and then college football. That's a pretty full Saturday."
