The clerk in the tiny town of Benton may be in big trouble with the law.
Today, she was seen driving one of the town's police vehicles and that act caused a swirl of controversy with some residents. The town clerk is not considered part of law enforcement, she is only the town clerk.
Right now no one knows if she broke any laws.
There's no word from the mayor's office or the chief of police on this matter, but they both plan to give a full statement on this matter next week.
