Black History Fest

Locals got a chance to learn more about the black culture--old and new.
The festival included area youth groups performing line and praise dancing.
There was also face painting, a two mile health for life walk, and doctors offered blood pressure and cholesterol tests.
The event was free-but attendees were asked to bring at least one non-perishable food item.
Founder Tammy T. Wright says it's a way for the community to learn more about black history in our own area.
