A boil advisory is in effect in the Natchitoches Parish communities of Chestnut and Readhimer .due to concerns about water quality.

The water system did not detail what has happened, but the boil advisory is in effect until the state health department does water-quality tests.

People who use the water system are advised to boil water before using it for drinking and cooking.
