Books for Troops pickup

The Thrifty Peanut Book, Media Warehouse & Soldier’s Angels is working again with the Thrifty Peanut & Soldier’s Angels, who in 2011, collected and shippied 18,000 books to our troops in Iraq and Afghanistan.  In 2012, they have collected approx. 50,000 books which will be picked up by Soldier’s Angels again this year on October 20, 2012 at 9 a.m.   Mayor Walker has confirmed that he will be in attendance for the pickup event. There are two store locations for you to drop off books:  2206 Benton Road, Bossier City, La., and 5839 E. Kings Highway, Shreveport, LA.
