Bossier City swears in new officers and jailer
Bossier City Police Chief Shane McWilliams administered oaths to the department’s three newest members during a ceremony Thursday at the Bossier City Police Department.
Those taking oaths this morning and receiving their badges were Police Officers Steven Wood and Dustin Mills and Jailer Paul Martin. The new recruits have completed training at the Bossier Sheriff’s North Louisiana Criminal Justice Academy and will now continue with a 5-week long departmental training program to learn the policies and procedures of the Bossier City Police Department.
Following their departmental training, the officers will spend three months riding patrol with Field Training Officers before being assigned to the patrol division. Jailer Martin will be assigned to the Bossier City Jail staff upon completing his departmental training.
