BOSSIER CITY, La. -

Bossier City is taking another step in using alternative fuels to fuel it's vehicles.
Tuesday, the Bossier City Council passed an ordinance to buy a new CNG ambulance that will replace one of its units.
The ordinance calls for $325,0000 from the sales tax capital improvement fund to be used.
The new ambulance unit will cost about $50,000 more than the standard diesel model.
The city plans to have the new unit in service by spring.
Natale says Trauma-1 will be kept in reserve and on standby for extra emergency needs.
