Bossier Detectives Solve String Of Burglaries

Detectives with the Bossier Sheriff’s Office have solved a string of burglaries that occurred in South Bossier Parish over the past two months.

Raymond Myers, 38, and Tyler Still, 18, of the 500 block of Camp Bistineau in Doyline, were charged Friday afternoon with five counts of simple burglary. Myers also faces a charge of one count of felony theft.

Bossier detectives worked in conjunction with the Webster Parish Sheriff’s Office and found that Myers and Still were responsible for at least five burglaries of businesses, a residence and storage facilities in south Bossier in December and January. Detectives recovered thousands of dollars of equipment and tools from their Doyline home, along with a stolen trailer.

Myers and Still are currently incarcerated at the Bayou Dorcheat Correctional Center in Webster Parish on charges of illegal possession of stolen things and awaiting extradition to Bossier Parish.

Additional charges on Myers and Still are pending.

“This is a big deal for us to catch these burglars, and I’m extremely proud of the cooperation between my detectives and the team at Webster Parish Sheriff’s Office led by Sheriff Gary Sexton,” said Bossier Sheriff Julian Whittington. “It’s solid detective work, tracking down every lead and working across parish lines, and now we are in the process of returning the stolen items to their owners – cases solved!”
