Bossier Parish Schools release statement on current weather conditions

The Bossier Parish School system has released the following statement on current weather conditions and possible school closures.

Bossier Schools has been keeping a close eye on the weather situation and in communication with the National Weather Service and other agencies. According to meteorologists, as the day progresses the freezing rain will turn primarily into a rain event with temperatures rising above freezing around 1 p.m. The National Weather Service has also indicated its Winter Weather Advisory will be ending at 3 p.m. Therefore, Bossier Schools will not adjourn early. The safest place for students is at school and not on the roads when conditions are at their worst.
