Students in Bossier and DeSoto Parish Schools are doing what they can to help kids with cancer.
Today both school districts kicked off a program to collect as many old pairs of rubber soled shoes as they can.
The shoes will be refurbished and sent to kids in third world countries.
And for every pair collected organizers will donate money to area families who have kids with pediatric cancer.
