Bossier City police are hoping security camera footage from the Walmart on Airline Drive will help them solve a purse theft.
The victim’s checkbook was used later to make more than a thousand dollars in unauthorized purchases at a second Walmart. Bossier Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of $255 for information that leads to the arrest of the suspect in this case.
The theft occurred on May 28 when the suspect took the victim’s purse from a shopping cart. More than $1000 in merchandise was then purchased at the Walmart on Shreveport-Barksdale Highway using the victim’s checkbook that was inside the stolen purse.
The suspect and her vehicle were caught on security cameras at the Shreveport-Barksdale Walmart. The suspect appears to be a middle aged white female with dark brown hair. She was driving a late model burgundy or maroon colored 4-door Chrysler New Yorker.
Anyone who can help police identify the suspect is asked to call Bossier Crime Stoppers at (318) 424-4100. They can also submit a web or text tip via the Bossier Crime Stoppers website – www.bossiercrimestoppers.org. Persons who contact Crime Stoppers are reminded they may remain totally anonymous.
