This year, nine cases of West Nile virus have been confirmed in Bowie County, Texas.

Just over a week ago, Rob Wells of New Boston was bitten by an infected mosquito.
He says he got a severe case a West Nile virus.

I couldn't use my legs, a lot of back pain, a lot of neck pain, headaches, could barely move, " said Rob Wells.

Wells says he's finally recovering, and now urging others to take extreme caution outdoors, especially in the evening hours.
