Burn Bans In Place Across Arkansas

Burn bans are in place for two counties in southwest Arkansas. Hempstead and Howard Counties were recently added to the burn ban list. Forestry officials say it could be expanded if there's not more rainfall soon. The Arkansas Forestry Commission says they responded to 150 forest fires that burned over 1,500 acres during the month of May. Right now 23 of the state's 75 counties are under a burn ban.
