The burn ban is officially over in Harrison County. Texas.
After more than a month in effect, the Harrison County Commissioner’s Court lifted the burn ban Monday.
The termination of the ban goes into effect at noon.
County Judge Hugh Taylor says recent rainfall totals have improved.
Lifting the ban was recommended by Harrison County Fire Marshal Thomas Mock after reviewing data released by the Texas Forest Service on moisture conditions.
