Caddo deputy okay after early morning crash

A Caddo deputy is okay after an early morning hit and run.

Shreveport police say the off-duty deputy was driving north on Hilry Huckabee around 1:30am Friday. A car clipped the deputy's SUV at Russell Road, causing the SUV to roll.

He was taken to Willis Knighton-North, fortunately with only a few bumps and bruises.

The driver of the car did not stop after the crash.
