Several local firefighters who spent weeks in New Orleans during and after Hurricane Katrina are keeping a very close eye on Gustav. Firefighters at Caddo District 6 are checking their list and checking it twice. They want to make sure they everything they need if the call for help comes in. Jeremy Langston says fire departments that transport are members of the state's region seven hospital resource network which means if a major catastrophy strikes anywhere in Louisiana, they could get called. Lt. Kevin Sibley has already started the necessary paperwork. When it comes to Gustav, these firefighters, just like everybody else, are hoping for the best, but preparing for the worst.
