A Caddo Parish jury convicted Eddie L. Jackson of second degree kidnapping and simple arson of $500 or more, Friday afternoon.
Jurors deliberated just over an hour before finding Jackson guilty on both counts.
Judge Ramona Emanuel set August 8 as a tentative date for Jackson to return to court to obtain setting.
A sentencing date will be set during that appearance.
Jackson could be facing a maximum sentence of 40 years at hard labor on the kidnapping charge. Simple arson with damage of $500 or more carries a fine of up to $15,000 and a maximum of 15 years in prison at hard labor.
Jackson's case was centered around the disappearance of Tracy Winslow.
Winslow was last seen in January of 2011.
Her car was found later that month burning.
Winslow had three children with Jackson.
Caddo Parish ADAs Bill Edwards and Dhu Thompson successfully prosecuted the case.
