Bossier Parish Community College's Culinary Arts program presents Quota Club of Shreveport's 2012 Icing on the Cake Competition, "Southern Charm". The event will be held Saturday, July 21 in Building F at BPCC located at 6220 E. Texas Street in Bossier City.
The Icing on the Cake Competition is a charitable event featuring cake artists of varying skill levels, from amateur to professional. Some of the most celebrated artists in the country will be on hand, including Food Network Cake Champion Bronwen Weber.
Regional cake artist will be showcasing their talent in four categories and five skill divisions. Doors open at 10 a.m. and close after rewards at 5 p.m.
General admission is $5 per person. Lunch and drinks will be available for purchase, and vendors will be selling specialty sweets and baking supplies.
