Shreveport authorities responded to a train & car collision just after 9:45a.m. Thursday.
It happened at the intersection of McNeil and Lake in downtown Shreveport.
According to police, when they arrived on scene they found the driver sitting near the scene of the accident.
Authorities say the driver slammed his vehicle into the slow moving train, the train then pushed the car more than 200 yards before coming to a stop.
The driver was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
