Shreveport Police have now identified a man accused of car jacking a woman‘s vehicle with her small child still inside.
On March 14, 2013, Shreveport Police were called to investigate an alleged car jacking that occurred in the Sunset Acres neighborhood.
During the investigation of the caper, detectives were able to gather evidence linking 18 year old Zerquario D. Reddix of Shreveport to the crime and have since procured an arrest warrant charging him with one count of car jacking.
Reddix is wanted for a carjacking that took place on yesterday in the 6700 block of Melara Street, when a woman who was dropping of her child at a local day care, had her car stolen with her seven year old child inside.
Reddix, after abandoning the vehicle a short distance away, was successful in eluding authorities.
Police are now on the hunt for Reddix, who is described as a light skinned black male, approximately six feet to six feet two inches tall, weighing between 135 to 140 pounds. Reddix has a bond set at $300,000.00.
Caddo Crime Stoppers is offering a 500.00 dollar reward for information that leads to the arrest of Mr. Reddix.
