Dozens of students at South Highland Elementary were doing cartwheels to fight childhood cancer Thursday. The first Cartwheel Over Cancer fundraiser kicked off today at the school. Its the creation of 3rd grader GraceAnne Hodgson, who got the idea to help other kids from reading the American Girl book series. Kids could cartwheel, hula-hoop or shoot hoops to raise money. GraceAnne says cartwheeling chosen, because its one of her favorite things to do.

"When our daughter came up with this idea, we didn't how we were going to pull it together, and how it would happen," GraceAnne's father said. "It's been amazing... gotten a tremendous support from the community."

All proceeds will go to help the Feist-Weiller Cancer Center.
