Looking for a new way to support a local business? Why not mob them?
The State of Black Shreveport and the Board for the Shreveport Bossier-African American Chamber of Commerce held their first cash mob Saturday.
Locals gathered at Divine Soul Food to eat and contribute to the cash mob's goal to support local African American owned businesses.
The event was inspired by similar cash mobs being held around the country.
Only three more are planned in the coming weeks, but organizers hope to make it a weekly effort if it catches on.
If you have any ideas for future cash mobs, or would like to get more involved, call the Shreveport Bossier African American Chamber of Commerce at 220- 9098.
