Christmas Day Burglar Caught Red-Handed

A Christmas Day burglar is behind bars after being caught red-handed.

On Christmas morning, Caddo Sheriff's Deputy Sean McCullough noticed a suspicious vehicle at a residence in the 9500 block of Linwood. The vehicle, a 1992 Ford Aero Star van was backed up to the front of the residence. While exploring the scene, Deputies noticed a broken and open rear window at the house and confronted a man later identified as Antonio Darnell Scott, 29, of Shreveport.

Scott was taken into custody at such time without incident.

The owner of the residence was contacted identified some of the items that had been loaded into the van had indeed been removed from the house. The items included seven boxes of ceramic tile, a convection oven, mail, paint, paint sprayer, dishes and other miscellaneous items given an approximate value of $1,200.

Antonio Scott was transported to the Caddo Jail and booked on charges of Burglary and Criminal Property Damage.
