Shreveport, La. -

Nearly 20 inmates at the Shreveport City Jail were moved as a precaution early this morning, after a worker smelled smoke in the building.
It was reported just after 2:30 this morning and 15 fire units responded.
The inmates were moved into another building while crews searched the jail to find that there was no fire.
Officials say one of the prisons generators was running low on coolant and was emitting the odor.
