City of Bossier holds surplus auction
Forty Bossier City vehicles along with dozens of other items were auctioned to the public today. The auction included power tools, riding mowers and bicycles that have been declared surplus. Among the vehicles auctioned were a school bus, various retired police vehicles and old fire trucks sold for parts.
"If they are in bad shape and we don't feel like it's worth putting money into them to fix them then we put them up here for auction. And other people have different ideas, they look at them and it looks like a good deal to them obviously, and that's what these auctions are all about," says Bossier City purchasing agent, Stephen Westbrook.
