Today more than 300 schools are being represented in our nations capital for exceeding expectations. Two of those schools are from right here in the Ark-La-Tex.The principals from Claiborne Fundamental and Oak Park Micro Society are in D.C. to receive their national blue ribbon for excellence in education. Off the more than 100,000 thousand schools in the U.S. only 7% are considered blue ribbon schools. For Claiborne this award elevates the school to a new level gaining some much sought after respect.
