First, the store clerk took his weapon. Now, the law has taken him to jail.

A man has been arrested on charges he robbed the same Caddo Parish Circle K convenience store two days in a row. A key piece of evidence: fingerprints from the knife he lost during the botched robbery.

Tony Culverhouse, 18, of Stonewall is accused of robbing the Circle K in the 11000 block of Mansfield Road on Aug. 2 and again on Aug. 3. In both cases, the robber had a knife, Caddo sheriff's investigators said.

In the second robbery, the attendant took the robber's knife as he tried to hold onto it and several shopping bags of cigarettes and cash at the same time.

Sheriff's investigators got fingerprints off the knife. Sheriff's spokesman Cindy Chadwick said they were matched to Culverhouse after Shreveport police linked him to an Aug. 2 gas station robbery there.

Culverhouse was arrested after Shreveport police released surveillance video of the gas station robbery and got a tip he was the robber.
