Bossier Parish Detectives have re-opened a twenty three year-old cold case. It involves Juanita Jones who was working at the Circle "K" at the corner of Bodcau Station and Highway 80. Jones was shot when someone entered the store around 10:30 on that Monday night during what appeared to be robbery. The cash register draw was open, and money was missing.  The shooter fled the scene, leaving Jones fighting for her life.  She was taken to Bossier Medical Center where she died five days later. Detectives say there were several good leads twenty three years ago, but none resulted in an arrest.  They believe the shooter have ties to the Haughton and Shreveport area.  They are also wanting anyone who may know anything about the case to come forward so the family, mother, grandmother and siblings who still live in the Haughton area can have some answers to Juanita’s death and the shooter brought to justice. The Bossier Sheriff's office is asking anyone with information on this or any other case to call Bossier City Crimestoppers at 318-424-4100, or contact them online at Bossiercitycrimestoppers.org.
