Tonya Johnson is upset about what happened to her co-worker and friend Sharmeka Moffit. "She was a sweet little girl and I know that she'd never hurt nobody, she'd never do anything to harm anybody. But according to police somebody set out to harm her. Authorities say Sunday night around 8 o'clock they received a 9-1-1 call from Sharmake herself saying she was set of fire. An officer managed to get to her withing one minute of her call."When he got there she was burned already but she managed to put the fire out". Police say there were no eyewitnesses to the crime, and the officer that responded to the call didn't report any suspicious activity, however Sharmeka has one important clue. "  She said there were three males, she wasn't able to give a race, they had set her on fire, they were wearing some sort of white hood or hoodie or something like that on their head." Police aren't calling this a hate crime just yet but members of the NAACP say differently."Anything toward humanity that's not civilized it is an expressive will of one's thought, and love don't act out like that." He says in the wake of the highly contested Presidential race they gathered at Sharmeka;s small memorial to offer prayers for her healing and for the Nation." If they're gonna discuss something tonight they need to talk about policies within because nobody's a threat to us like we are to ourselves." In Winnsboro Rod White KTBS 3 News
