Company to hire 100 under job-incentive program

A Marshall, Texas, company is expected to create 100 new, above-average-salary jobs during the next year, aided in part by a hiring incentive program that will use local economic development money.

The Marshall Economic Development Corp. has approved a $200,000 incentive package for Davis Oilfield Services to hire more workers.

The company will receive receiving an incentive of $2,000 per job they create. Each job will pay above the average wage in Harrison County, officials said.

A spokesman for Davis said they expect to start hiring later this year.
