An East Texas man is dead after police say they were forced to tase him.

It happened just before 8:30 last night in the area of East Houston and Scoggins Streets.

Marshall Police say officers responded to a disturbance call and arrived to find a nude man, identifed as 32-year-old Marcus Dewayne Slade.

Police say Slade confronted them, a struggle ensued, and police tased him.

Slade was arrested, but later that evening, was found unconcious at the jail.

Officials say he was pronounced dead.

That investigation is on-going.
