Dion Laonadre Lewis was in Shreveport court today for further proceedings on a first degree murder charge.

Lewis was accused of  murdering Kevin Edwards, 38, during a home invasion.

The  gunman approached when Edwards' female companion arrived home in the 300 block of Mayfair.

Lewis lawyers were in court to file motions before his jury trial.

The jury trial will be on March 5.
