The Rockin Docs are trading in their charts and picking up instruments for one day in the fight against obesity.

They'll perform this weekend at the Walk From Obesity.

"We thought that it would be a really fun thing to get together and do some tunes and make it lively for the patients and the patrons who attend the event, " says Dr. Pierce Nunley.

The Walk From Obesity is Saturday, October 11th, at the Bossier Speciality Hospital at 2105 Airline Drive.

It's free for kids. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m., followed by the walk kick-off with the "Rockin Docs" at nine.

The one-point-five mile walk will have a number of informational stops along the way.
