The water is now safe to drink for some residents in Bossier Parish.

The Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals/Office of Public Health has completed their testing on the water for the Consolidated Waterworks/Sewerage District No. 1 for all Dogwood Subdivisions in Bossier Parish, and the boil advisory has been lifted.

A power outage earlier this week caused the system's water pumps to fail. Nearly 1,200 people were affected.
