After being on the run for more than a month, authorities have arrested the suspect whom they say is responsible for a shooting that injured two Shreveport men late last year.

Back on December 17, 2012, authorities responded to a reported shooting  that occurred in the 2500 block of Drexel Drive.

It was upon officers arrival at the scene, they observed two men who had been shot by an unknown assailant.

The men, identified as 20 year old Damien Dallas and 26 year old Kevin Hopper both of Shreveport, were transported to LSUHSC for what was described as potentially non-life threatening injuries.

Since the shooting, investigators assigned to the case were able to gather evidence which developed 28 year old Justin Barr of Shreveport as a suspect in the shooting of both Dallas and Hopper.

On January 4, 2013, a Caddo Parish District Judge signed a warrant for the arrest of Barr, charging him with attempted first degree murder.

On January 22, 2013 at approximately 8:00 p.m. Agents from the United States Marshals Fugitive Task Force were successful in locating and apprehending Barr at a home in the 4900 block of Broadway Avenue in Shreveport.

Barr was subsequently booked into the Caddo Correctional Center on the warrant without incident.

His bond is set at $150,000.00.
