Dozens of people are camped out at a local restaurant ahead of today's grand opening.

Freebirds is giving a year of free burritos to the first 25 people through their doors Wednesday, Feb. 6.

Campers started showing up at 11AM Tuesday, but most came later that evening.

The overnight guests brought traditional camping gear like sleeping bags, air mattresses, tents, and hammocks. Some campers were living a little more luxuriously with televisions, a generator, and an Xbox.

The restaurant opens to the public at 10:30AM February 6.

There are more than 90 Freebirds locations across the country, but the Youree Drive eatery is the first in Louisiana.
