An early morning fire ignited at one Bossier City Hotel.
Just before 3 a.m. a fire alarm was activated in a room at the Rodeway Inn & Suites off Hilton Road in Bossier City.
More than a dozen Bossier City Police and Fire crews responded to the scene. The fire alarm engaged the sprinkler system, which put out the fire before crews arrived.
The room sustained heavy smoke, fire and water damage. About 10 rooms in the wing near the room were evacuated for nearly 30 minutes while fire crews went inside to investigate.
Fire Prevention was on scene and are still trying to determine the exact cause of the blaze. They do believe that the fire originated near the back of the room, near the air conditioning unit.
Nobody was injured in the blaze.
