Several busted water mains create a headache for the City of New Boston, Texas.

Since Christmas Eve, city crews have repaired about ten water main breaks.

Superintendent of Operations Mark Mayo says some residents were temporarily without water.

He says the line breaks are mainly caused by the drastic change in weather.

"When you go from hot to cold, that's when the ground will really start to shift," said Mayo.

The City of Dekalb is also reporting a few water main breaks.

However, officials with Texarkana Water Utilities say they haven't had any big issues with the area water mains.
