Email Scam Still In Effect
The Better Business Bureau (BBB) reports an email scam is still in circulation and KTBS has received several phone calls from victims confirming the problem. The link to the email contains a virus and should be deleted immediately, according to Andy Fisher, president of the BBB of Central Louisiana. The scam goes like this: when subjects open the email, which looks as if it is coming from the Better Business Bureau, it instructs that there has been a complaint and that you should open the attachment. The BBB said if you have opened the attachment or clicked the link, run a virus scan on your computer immediately. The fraudulent emails have been sent to randomly throughout the country. For more information contact the local BBB at 318-222-7575.
