Employee accused of stealing more than $100k from local animal hospital

CADDO PARISH, La. -

 The former officer manager for a local animal hospital was arrested Tuesday for stealing over $100,000 from her employer, said Caddo Sheriff Steve Prator.
 Amy Jefferson, 38, of Elysian Fields, Texas, was arrested at the Caddo-Shreveport Financial Crimes office following an investigation by Caddo Sheriff’s Detective Bobby Herring.
 Jefferson is accused of stealing cash received and altering records to conceal the thefts. Herring said she was captured on video stealing cash.
Jefferson was arrested for felony theft and booked into Caddo Correctional Center.
