Energy giant dedicates office building in Shreveport

SHREVEPORT -

BHP Billiton Petroleum officially dedicated its 70,000 square foot Shreveport office building at 1000 E. Preston Avenue this morning.
The company, headquartered out of Houston, drills for oil and natural gas around the world.
BHP Billiton Chief Executive, Michael Yeager, says the Haynesville Shale is a virtual gold mine of natural gas and expects his "grandchildren to be drilling in the Haynesville Shale."
Yeager says he's excited for BHP Billiton to be in the Shreveport-Bossier area and intends on investing in the local economy.
