It's been five days and still no sign of triple murder suspect Robert McCoy, Jr. This despite a public plea from his own family.

Police were hoping this case would get national attention, but Mark Natale with Bossier Police says the two largest cable news networks haven't shown any interest. "America's Most Wanted" says it's too late to run the story this weekend.

Meantime, friends and family members remembered Willie Ray Young, one of the three victims, at a visitation held Friday. Outside the funeral home nearly a dozen police officers stood guard keeping their eyes peeled for any signs of trouble.

Family friend Latonia Terrell says the family needs some type of closure which won't come until McCoy is in custody.

"They just want the person to turn himself in and just quit running and just get it over with," said Terrell.

McCoy is charged with the first degree murders of Young, his wife Christine Colston and her grandson Greg Colston, 17. All three were shot in their small Bossier City apartment Monday night. McCoy has been on the run ever since, his own family is begging him to turn himself in.

Since the murders, police on both sides of the Red have received dozens of phone calls from citizens claiming to have seen McCoy. They've questioned countless people and have searched a number of vacant homes. The latest false sighting was outside a convenience store on Shreveport's Linwood Avenue. Officers are taking each call just as seriously as the next. No one's hoping McCoy is found more than those who have lost their loved ones to his alleged crimes.
