Fatal crash in Bossier Parish

Louisiana State Police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred early Monday morning on LA Highway 3 at the intersection of Vanceville road in Bossier Parish.  That crash killed a Bossier City woman.

The preliminary investigation revealed that a 2008 Toyota pickup driven by Clifford Anderson, 76, was traveling west on Vanceville road when she failed to obey the stop sign at LA Highway 3 and proceeded to cross both of the north bound lanes.  Anderson's vehicle was struck from the side by a north bound 2006 Chevrolet Trailblazer driven by Marion Markay, 17, of Bossier City.

The passenger in the Toyota, Jacquelyn Anderson, 72, of Bossier City received life threatening injuries from the crash and was transported to a local hospital where she later died.

Toxicology samples were obtained and submitted for analysis. This crash remains under investigation.
