Police said an employee of Drug Emporium on West Loop 281 noticed that a man who went into a restroom had climbed into the suspended ceiling shortly before closing time Tuesday evening.

Police said they found Ricky Reed Jr., 30, of Longview, in the ceiling with burglary tools and gloves.

As officers brought Reed out of the store, they saw a vehicle leaving the parking lot. Witnesses told them Reed had arrived at the drug store in that car.

The car, which was driven by Ricky Reed Sr., 59, was stopped and searched, police said. Officers said they found burglary tools and gloves.

Both father and son were arrested on charges of burglary and possession of criminal instruments.
