A federal jury has convicted two men who were among more than a dozen people involved in a heroin-trafficking ring in Central Texas.
   Authorities say 68-year-old Jose Pardo of Austin and 45-year-old Jorge (HOHR'-hay) Carrillo of Lockhart were found guilty Thursday of heroin distribution.
   They each face 10 years to life in federal prison at their sentencing scheduled for May.
   Prosecutors say Pardo and Carrillo were among 13 others who conspired from May 2011 to June 2012 to distribute more than 17 kilograms of heroin in the region.
   The drug ring netted daily sales of $3,400 to $6,250.
   Prosecutors say the heroin was processed at the Pardo family-owned restaurant Jovita's in Austin.
   Twelve others arrested as part of the year-long investigation previously pleaded guilty. Another defendant died prior to trial.
